20 Days and Counting!

Wow. Can it really only be 20 more days until the reunion? Are we prepared? Let's see...
- Registered on the website. Check.
- RSVPed for both the Friday game and the Saturday reunion at the school. Check.
- Bought tickets. Check.
- Arranged overnight plans. Check.
- Triple checked that those high school era clothes still won't fit. Darn. Check.
- Found something comfortable yet flattering to wear instead. Check.
- Reviewed the posted pages of the senior year photos on the website...

I caught up with our former classmate, Mary Kennedy Mays, as she was lining up meetings regarding her upcoming mayoral race. While I could talk to her about that all day long (and probably will in the near future), we really needed to start with the years at Calhoun High School.

The planning begins

After someone (Diane?) realized that this was our 40th graduation anniversary, a small group of classmates have been meeting at the offices of the Calhoun Times to discuss how best to organize such an event. With such short notice, it's best to just jump right in and get started. Some of the big early decisions have been surprisingly easy. The old school has been replaced with an entirely new complex and the facility will be able to accommodate our event the weekend of the 6th and 7th. The dates...
